Lo Siento

I've been so bad about blogging lately and about getting to my friends' blogs. So so sorry! I promise to get back to it all soon!

I don't have any big vacations, races, or life changing events planned for the next few months, so I should be able to get back into things this week.

Along with jumping back into the blogosphere, I also start running and working out again this week. After last Saturday, it's been WONDERFUL to take the whole week off and not worry about running, lifting weights, or doing a single sit-up. But in place of all the exercise, I've taken up sugar and soda again :( Big Uh-Oh.

It's been lovely overindulging, but I can definitely feel it now. I feel disgusting, gross, and out of shape. So tomorrow, along with the running and exercising, I go back to my no-soda-and-no-sugar diet. Gonna be hard to ween myself off again. Last time I just quit cold turkey. We'll see if that works this time, too. Be prepared for a very grumpy lady. Though, I'm hoping the endorphins from the exercise will help me through the sugar cravings. I'll keep my fingers crossed...and my fridge stocked with lots of fresh fruit!

Anyways, I miss you all and look forward to catching up on all your lovely blogs. Thanks for your patience as I try and get my life back together!!!!!

Going Green

This year, Lolli and I decided to go as scary witches for Halloween. While I looked über ugly, Lolli looked adorable!

But halfway through the evening, the makeup started smudging and getting all over the place. I was way too impatient to keep touching it up, nor would a 2 year old even take any sort of caution when eating or drinking anyways, so I gave up and just put Lolli in her costume from the year before. She makes and even cuter zebra than a witch!!
And after a long evening of trick-or-treating, the poor little zebra was parched. So, she stopped for a drink at the watering hole.

My sister spent nearly 3 hours on her costume, makeup, and hair, but it sure did turn out great!

Jordan and his friend G decided to channel a little Friday.

"Hey Mrs. Parker!"

And the other twin, Christopher, was a SUP guy. No, not UPS. SUP. It's the gangsta version, K?

Ryan ordered a costume online, but it didn't get here in time. So, he saved it for next year. But in the meantime, he carved himself a cock-o-lantern.

Hope you all had a happy Halloweenie!!!

Happy Halloweenie!

Last night, we took Lollipop out with the cousins to go trick-or-treating. She had so much fun! At every house she went to, we'd walk up the steps and she'd flap her parrot wings. Then, when she was presented with a bowl of candy, she diligently stuck her hand in and grabbed a piece all by her onesies. Of course, every now and again I had to convince her that what she really wanted was the Snickers or Kit-Kat, not the Tootsie Roll.

Following trick-or-treating, we headed down to Spanish Fork for a party at Poke and Candice's new crib. Let me tell you, though it took Pokey over a year to make it happen, their new house is DE-LUXE!!! I am über jealous. I loved the dark paint, paneling, and wood accents. I also liked the layout. I dunno if the zen, or chi, or what was right with the house, but everything seemed to just...flow.

So, we ended the night with a few brutal rounds of the Newlywed Game. And apparently I know my husband way better than he knows me. Come on, you didn't know that my number one turn on was a mohawk??!!? I mean, it's posted on our blog, even! That one was a given!!!! But for the record, it was a really fun evening. No couples went home demanding a divorce. And though I forgot to do so earlier while trick-or-treating, I did manage to snap a couple photos at Pokey's house of the babes in their costumes. Although, the babies didn't seem to want to cooperate, so I wasn't able to get very many great ones. Regardless, they were all still adorable! Except when they started fighting over stupid chapstick...a parrot or two might have started crying!!

Blogs and Witch's Brew

Due to the THOUSANDS of requests I've been getting to start a blog, I've finally succumb. Here it is, the Schoenrock Family Blog, written and edited by yours truly. Stay tuned to hear more of our antics. But to give you a little taste...

Today we celebrated Liliakea's 1st birthday. I can't believe it's already been a year. Grandma and Whit planned the special Halloween costume party for Lili and the family. Among some of the guests were a parrot, Tigger, a cheerleader, the Incredible Hulk, Wonder Woman, and a few sporadic kitties. The decorations and food were creeptastic, and the kiddies seemed to have a fun time playing the carnival games for prizes.

But with the success of the party, I couldn't help but think that I will have a less-kid-filled luau for Lollipop. Is that even possible with all the cousins and babies now lurking around Provo? Probably not. What I mean is that we won't be doing a child focused party for Lollipop. I don't wanna have to entertain 17 hyperactive kidlets for two hours. No thanks!!! (side note: as I'm sitting here tip-tap-typing away, Moku just tooted. He has now stunk up the entire room. Thanks.) Rather, we shall simply sit, eat lots of food, and watch some Polynesian dancers while the kids kill one another in the back room. They can call us when they need an ambulance.

Either way, today's party was fun. I hope Whit and Lili enjoyed themselves. We had a good time.
