Happy Memorial Day!

Ahhh, Memorial Day. A perfect excuse to work on my tan and eat ridiculous amounts of grilled meat.

Random...

Lolli and I decided to take a walk over to the clubhouse today. We went into the great room, looked out on the back patio, and randomly saw THIS!!!

Why was it there? Whose was it? Were we allowed to play on it?? WHO CARES! We did it anyways!

And Lolli loved it...kinda.

Wheelin'

Yesterday was a gorgeous day and we were itching to get outside. So, along with the Huntsmans, we trucked up to Long Hollow in Spanish Fork Canyon to go 4-wheelin.

Lolli had SOOO much fun that she exhausted herself and fell asleep half way through our ride.

So while Lolli slept it out, Ry taught me how to drive a manual. And the best part? I didn't even wreck it like he swore I would!!!

After a hard day of riding, we relaxed by throwing back a couple of Dews.

The Clark Howard Show

So Ryan got me into listening to talk radio. I know what you're thinking; we're totally lame. But that's actually how we keep up on all our current events. Since we both spend so much time in the car, it's easy to listen to KSL and find out what's going on in the real world outside of Happy Valley.

My favorite program to listen to is The Clark Howard Show. The whole purpose of his show is to help people "Save more, spend less and avoid rip-offs." Clark Howard takes calls from listeners who are looking for good deals, legal or financial advice, and ideas on sticking it to the Man.

What fascinates me is how incredibly smart Clark Howard is. I mean, listeners are calling in, back to back, and he can solve their problems on the spot. He knows everything about everything!!! Even the two Nightside Project retards, Ethan Millard and Alex Kirry, seem to know everything. How are they so smart?

I can't even think of one thing on which I could give an expert opinion, let alone a plethora of topics. Honestly, are they really that smart? Or do the telephone screeners only send through the people who have problems relating to topics in which the hosts are already knowledgeable?

That must be it. Those fakers.

I'm a Big Kid Now!!

Check out these sweet moves!!!

Alma Mater

(Yay! We're finally back to blogging!!! We got internet installed yesterday and I feel like I can breathe again!)

So, Ry actually graduated from UVU this past December. However, since there's not a commencement ceremony in December, Ry had to wait until the spring to walk. Since Ry and I are the only ones in our families to graduate college, it's a pretty big deal.

When I graduated, I had just had a baby and felt like a beached whale. I wasn't about to prance across a stage, looking like a heffer, in front of hundereds of people. So, I actuallyopted out of walking. I totally regret it now, though, and made it known to Ry that he'd better walk at his commencement.

Well, Ry procrastinated ordering his cap and gown, so he broke the news to me that he wouldn't be walking. I wasn't too happy with him, to say the least. But, two days before commencement, he had contacted someone at the school and found out that they bring extra gowns and stuff just for people like him who didn't order one. So, $50 dollars later, Ry had himself newly rented graduation regalia! But because he waited last minute to walk, we didn't have any time to send out invitations or to prepare a party. My original plan was to So, I quickly had to throw together a couple of things. Behold...my creativity!!!

Not gonna lie. I'm pretty proud of myself. Seriously. I am NOT crafty whatsoever. That's probably why it did take me 3 whole hours to make that thing! But he was definitely the bell of the ball with that lei. Sure it wasn't the 17 fresh flower leis that I had envisioned preparing for him, but it was still as impressive!

When Ry graduates with his MBA, I'll have to do the fresh flower leis. I should probably start planning his graduation celebration right now so we'll have ample time to get things in together. I'll need to plan the parade. Book a marching band. Call in some midget contortionists. Order 3 tons of confetti. Anyone know where I can find an ice sculpture in the shape of a Jeep?

Thanks to everyone for all your support!

Behind on Blogging

Sorry, fans. I know we've been MIA lately. We've just been SUPER busy. Plus, we don't have internet right now. We've been in the middle of graduations, moving, and job searching. So, there's a lot on our plates. But not to worry. We'll be back in a flash...

Or, blash...
